← gallery map - redoing more textures

i don't have images today, i spent most of my time just organizing files because i hate when they're ont of wack. i like renamde them and tried to understand what would be a good scheme for the textures. also tried to structure the godot project in a way that made sense but still worked with trenhbroom. i think i have an idea for how it should work but man it is boring.

in the process of figuring it out, i actuallu delete the git repo and godot project file in order to start over. i'm like overlapping like five different softwares at he same time and it is chaos trying to find a good work flow

i also spent some time thinking about npcs and how i would design them. i will definitely draw them on paper first, but them i started thinking about how the creator of the club penguin preguin had a process of turning 3d objects into vector files. i thought that sounded neet cuz like i could just make 3d models and then captue multiple angles of the npcs staning and then i could make them two dee in the game. i really like this idea because i don't really know how to draw the same charcter proportional at different angles that would talke the cognitive load off of me.

this project had been a lot of learning for me so far i gotta be honestly. i like the work i'm doing and it's great to explore what to do. i don't even think the scope is getting out of hand. sure the npcs thing is a new feature but other than that, i'm still stuck to six worlds per pck.

i dunno maybe the npc thing is too much. we'll see

also i gott really demotivated beceuse i was working on the gallery map and i didn't realize how much clean up would be involved. i really did leave it like a mess and it sucks to go through and figure out the best course of action. i'm like a neat freak when it comes to organizing layers and content, always loving things on a grid, but damn this is a lot of work to keep things organized. also i saw that he func_godot plugin preserves the layer organiztion in the godot project, and that bothers the fuck out of me. like i really want it to be organized. i dunno. it's benefitial to git commits too

on a seperate note. i dunno wahy i'm facinated with using git all of the time. like i saw thta i could use git with godot and the trenhbroom files are just text so i was like damn, i could git commit toa remote with this stuff and it would be a cool record of all the work i did even though like only i would care.

htats why i reset the godot project btw. i wasnt a better start.

dude i'm so tired. as i'm writing this it's like an hour after middlenight and have doubts about this project. don't get me wrong, it's fun to work on but like life is stressful and i just wast something simple.

is this lke a form of mental illness? idk man
